Description
I was going to post this today anyways.... o_O
How weird that there actually an April Fool's event to post pictures/drawing of cats! XDD;;
Anyways,
This is my new adopted 3yr old black cat, Zombie No. 5, nicknamed Zomby. c:
Don't ask about the name, I swear I give all animals that belong
to me the weirdest names sometimes.. XDD 'Cause I barely own
any that JUST belong to me, mostly there outsides pets.
The Story:
Right so, I adopted her at PetSmart when I went down to Forth Worth..
I always stop by PetSmart just to look. All the cats there had been there for less
or at least a week. Excect for Zomby... she had been there for 5 months.
When I asked one of the ladies that worked there why this cat had
been there so long compared to the others, she simply stated no
one wanted her because SHE WAS PURE BLACK. You have NO idea
the reaction on my face was when I heard that. How could anyone be so
closed minded that they won't take a very sweet and very lovable cat
home just because of her colour?? That was like saying you didn't want to be
friends with the an actually trustworthy person because they had a different skin colour than you.
So, I asked if I could sit and visit with her outside of the cage.
And guys, It broke my heart, she was amazing and completely sweet....
She loved to be pet and adored just laying in my lap. Her paper
outside her cage said 'I like to MEOW' which was another reason people
passed her up without a second thought... but I found she only meows
when you look at/have your attention on her or speak to her as if she was talking/talking back...
Otherwise she is very quite and when she does meow it ALWAYS so soft and adorable.
To leave her there just wasn't an option. She didn't deserve to live
her life in a cage because of her colour or because she meows.
And I do not regret my choice in the least.

although the picture of Zombie is awdowably cute, reading the story on how you saved -that is IMO the most aperopiate word now- her from the petshop..
i never met the ones that left zombie in her cage, but i know plenty to bitchslap them
before i go in rage-depressed mode, i'l switch to the happier words. although all the pictures are great, number 5 is the one that pulls my attention the most;
not only since the necklance you gave her is in the center, but also cuz i can see you through zombie's eyes, reflecting into her eyes, that.. that is just.. argh, language cannot not explain these moments.. thats just the connecting you 2 have. just great C>
